HERITAGE CLUB Estd 2007
Introduction:
Heritage Club, Established in 2007, with Association of Department of Archaeology Museums & Heritage, Government of Karnataka, Mysuru. Conducted various programmes to create awareness about Heritage buildings. The Initiative was inaugurated by Honorable Shri Venkatesh Machakanur. Dr Shrinivas V.Padigar and Shri B.V.Patil were presented on this occasion.
Objectives:
- The Motive of creating awareness and participation in heritage related activities among the students.
- The idea of setting up Heritage club in college.
Dr. D.G.Kulkarni, Head of History Department, S.R.Narasapur Arts and M.B. Shirur Commerce College, Bagalkot was the Chief Guest and Smt. Ganachari president of Gram panchayat,Pattadakallu was also presented on this occasion. Organizer of the programme Prof. S.N.Rampur and 80 Students were participated in this programme.
2015-2016
‘Heritage Awareness Programme’ was organized on 29-03-2016 at Pattadakallu village of Hungund Taluk to create awareness about Historical Monuments. On this occasion students of the college took part and conducted a rally across the village.
2016-17
Two-day National Seminar on the History and Culture of Rastrakutas was organized in the college on 04-08-2017. Professors and Research students were participated and benefitted from the
The ‘Heritage Tour’ was conducted and students were taken to the historical place Hampi on 25-8-2017. The tour was conducted in order to create awareness about Historical Monuments.
2017-18
Department of History organized a special Guest lecture on 19-07-2018. Dr. Shilakant Pattar delivered a lecture on Importance of Historical Monuments. Dr.V.S.Katagihallimath, principal of Basaveshwar Arts College presided over the programme. Dr. D.G.Kulkarni,HOD, Dept of History, SRN College, Bagalkot was presented on this occasion.
The Department of History organized one day tour at Hallur, Bagalkot. Students of our college were participated in rally to create awareness on Importance of Historical monuments at Hallur.
2018-19
Following programmes were organized under the banner of Heritage Club, Basaveshwar Arts College,Bagalkot in the academic year 2018-19.
- One day tour organized on 16-03-2019 at Hampi and Anegondi.
- A Special Guest Lecture was organized on 29-03-2019 on ‘Study of Ancient Manuscripts and Inscriptions’.The lecture was delivered by Dr.Sangamesh Kalyani.
- A Special Guest lecture was organized on 10-04-2019. Shri Dr. Anand Kulakarni delivered lecture on ‘Role of the youth in conservation of Monuments.
- A Special Guest lecture was o‘Heritage Rally’ conducted at Gundanapally,Bagalkot on 10-04-2019. Village Leaders, Staff Memebers, Students and Organizers were took part in the rally to create awareness on Ancient monuments.rganized on 10-04-2019. Shri Dr. Anand Kulakarni delivered lecture on ‘Role of the youth in conservation of Monuments.
