Post Graduate Department Of Kannada

The PG Department of Kannada was established in 1999 by the founder HOD Dr.B.K.Hiremath, keeping in view the art, culture, literature, research of Kannada and also welfare of rural and poor students of the area. In the early years PG Dept. of Kannada was working under Karnataka University, Dharwad, now it works under Rani Channamma University Belagavi. Presently the department headed by Dr. V. S. Katagihallimath. The PG Dept. of Kannada has grown up to reputable department of higher learning in the part of Northern Karnataka. Many students of this department have achieved in various activities. Six students have secured rank at university level, fifteen students have passed NET, six students have qualified for JRF, Seven students have done Ph.D., Three students appointed as an Assistant Professor at First Grade Colleges. Right from the beginning, the Dept. has well-experienced teachers and scholars. The department has conducted State Level Workshop and many Guest Lectures. Every year teachers and students of the department have been attending training at Ninasam, Heggodu.
